Faith is complete trust or confidence or strong belief in GOD or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

~Hebrews 11:1-2 AMP (Amplified Version)~

1) Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses).

2) For by this [kind of] faith the [a] men of old gained [divine] approval.

[a] i.e. those men and women who were faithful to GOD before the old covenant and those faithful to GOD after its establishment, those mentioned in this chapter.

Blessed is a person, place, or thing that is made holy or consecrated. A person, place, or thing can be endowed with divine favor and protection.

1) Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).
